Dyed to Order: The Great Escape

The Great Escape is a lime green, teal, red, and cream colored variegated yarn. It is paired with Ink (black) for sock sets.

It's time for the Yarn Warped Tour! Selina of Through the Wardrobe Yarn Co reached out to a group of dyers and asked if anyone wanted to participate in a collaboration themed around the Warped Tour... and I couldn't say yes fast enough! We all picked our favorite bands and inspiration for our colorways... and goodness it's been fun to relive some of my favorite bands through this collaboration! I selected Boys Like Girls and my colorway is inspired by their self-titled album artwork. Be sure to check out all the other dyers in the lineup! The Great Escape is shown here on Simple Sock. The available bases will all dye similarly, though Standard Sock will likely have more white.

Simple Sock: 100% superwash merino; 438 yds, 100 g; 4 ply 
Standard Sock: 75% superwash merino, 25% recycled nylon; 437 yds, 100 g; 4 ply
Standard Sock Set: 1 full skein (75% superwash merino, 25% recycled nylon; 437 yds, 100 g; 4 ply) + 1 mini (87 yds, 20 g)

Basic Sport: 100% superwash merino; 328 yds, 100 g; 3 ply

Classic DK: 100% superwash merino; 231 yds, 100 g; 4 ply

I do my best to match each photo to the true color of the yarn. However, due to variations in display settings on each computer/device, the yarn you receive may vary slightly from what you see on the screen. Additionally, hand dyed yarn can vary from skein to skein and dye lot to dye lot; I highly suggest ordering enough yarn to complete your project! I highly recommend hand washing your completed project in cold water. There is a chance that some dye may bleed slightly during the first washes, so I also suggest washing items separately. Highly saturated colors and speckled skeins are more prone to this.
