Pattern: Kentia Wrap by Ambah O’Brien (link leads to Ravelry)
Yarn:
MC: Shadow on Simple Sock (2 skeins)
CC: Purple Fade on Sock Minis from Suburban Stitcher & about 52g of yak blend from stash that I overdyed
Needles: US 5 (3.75 mm)
Started: August 18, 2020
Finished: September 22, 2020
Modifications:
Instead of doing 10 different colors for the contrast colors, I used 5 minis from Suburban Stitcher for the contrast in the chevron sections and the overdyed yak for the other sections.
Notes:
This was my first time trying mosaic knitting… and I LOVED it! It’s definitely a good begging pattern for a mosaic newbie. I do think my gauge was a bit off, though.
The dark purple is a yak blend that I overdyed. I used about 52g. My Heartsong colorway would be very similar – and the overdye is actually what inspired it!
The Suburban Stitcher minis actually came with 6 skeins, but I omitted the lightest. They’re 75% superwash merino, 25% nylon. I used 15g of each skein.
Ravelry: I also have a Ravelry Project Page for this knit. However, many people (myself included) have had issues with the new Ravlery. It is known to cause eye strain, headaches, migraines, and seizures. Please be careful when proceeding to Ravelry!
