Their Time Is Up

By now, unless you’ve been under a rock, you’re surely aware of Oprah’s speech at the Golden Globes (if not, please take the time to listen to it). Women around the world – myself included – were moved by her speech. I wanted to take a moment to share with you some of my favorite pieces of art inspired by her words.

I spent the first hour of this day ugly crying – I always ugly cry when I cry btw, I cannot cry in any other way. How anyone can cry in a beautiful is beyond me. It's always sobbing, snot and weird noises with me. Anyhow, I cried when watching Oprah's Golden Globe speech, of course. That speech! That woman! That power! The times they are a changin'. What a time to be alive, my friends. . (Now, I'm not american, so I know I don't get to have a say in this, but seriously; wouldn't she make a great president?) . On another note, many of you enjoyed watching my last normal speed video, I'll try to make more of these sloooow things for you. Here's one, for instance! . ✒: I picked up my round nib for this one (sorry but I don't know it's brand or size) and used it on regular Laser Printer Paper with two colors of Ecoline Ink. 📽: Normal speed. 👉: Swipe for still. . . . #theirtimeisup #revolutioniscoming #metoo #oprah #oprahwinfrey #oprahquote #monoline #roundnib #letteringvideo #feminism #lettering #handlettering #50words #typeyeah #designspiration #Slowroastedco #Goodtype #moderncalligraphy #calligratype #goodletters #kaosyoga_lettering #inkandlise
